Kim is originally from South Africa and immigrated to Canada with her husband and young children in 2008. She’s had a passion for infant sleep and development since the birth of her daughter in 2003. She spent 5 years working side-by-side a pediatric nurse in private practice supporting parents with new infants. The areas that she specialized in were Assessment of Normal Developmental Milestones from infancy to 1 year; understanding Sensory Development; sleep cycles and self-gratification techniques; reflux and the associated feeding management; Baby Massage and Well Baby Exercises; Breast, Bottle and the Introduction of Solid Food. She completed the South African Breast-Feeding Course for Breast-Feeding Councillors and is an internationally certified Infant Massage Instructor. She loves helping new parents through the rewarding, but sometimes overwhelming, process of welcoming a new baby home.
She supports parents through the process of sleep coaching so they feel confident and valued, realizing that all families have an individual plan for how they choose to parent and no two infants/toddlers are alike.
